BIS to throw open doors for 90th anniversary

The Bank for International Settlements

The Bank for International Settlements is to open its main tower to the public, as it belatedly celebrates its ninetieth anniversary.

Originally planned for 2020, the ‘BIS 90 Years’ event was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The BIS said the week-long exhibition will offer the public a multimedia tour of its “unique role in the global financial system”, as well as the “iconic” physical premises of the Centralbahnplatz tower.

“We look forward to opening our doors to the local community,”
