Two new professionals will reinforce our team. Welcome Alessandra and Sophie!
While big tech companies spend record amounts on lobbying in Brussels, associations that represent the interests of small and medium enterprises are few and far between. Nonetheless, recognition of the importance of SMEs and their representative organisations is growing. Together, we can make a difference. DIGITAL SME is excited to add two new staff members to our growing Brussels secretariat! We welcome Alessandra Zini and Sophie Tsotridis.
Alessandra’s curiosity and willingness to make a societal impact brought her to Brussels first as Schuman trainee at the European Parliament and now as a project manager for Horizon and Erasmus+ projects. Fluent in Italian, English and Spanish, she holds a master’s degree in international protection of human rights and a postgraduate in European project management. After working at CECIMO for about two years as EU Policy Officer and Projects Coordinator, she joins DIGITAL SME to support the implementation of projects in the field of Smart Cities and Digital Skills.
Sophie holds a master’s degree in innovation management from Sciences Po Paris, and started her career as a Product Manager in various tech teams. She has worked with both large corporations and start-ups, developing B2C/B2B digital products. She is now part of the CISC Marie Curie International Training Network, and is enrolled in a Ph.D. program in collaboration with the Technical University of Dublin, and the European DIGITAL SME Alliance. In her research, she focuses on the ethical and legal aspects of AI and Data collection.
In addition, we accept applications for trainees who are eligible for ERASMUS+ funding on a rolling basis! If you are passionate about digital-related topics and keen to make a difference, come and join us!
