RBA to invest in solar panels for refurbished head office

The Reserve Bank of Australia’s renovated head office in Sydney will be equipped with solar panels and a “rainwater harvesting system” when completed later this year.

According to the RBA’s latest annual report, the renovations are just one of the RBA’s initiatives to decrease its own carbon footprint and ensure its facilities fit the “long-term needs” of the bank.

The RBA is also conducting a study on installing large solar panels at its facility in Craigieburn, in the state of Victoria
