Controversial nominee joins Paraguayan board

The Paraguayan senate approved the appointment of Carmen Marín, an administration official and former vice-minister of finance, to the central bank’s board.

A former central bank governor, Carlos Fernández Valdovinos, and the head of the central bank union, Marcello Zaracho, have criticised Marín’s appointment.
