Suriname central bank wins lawsuit over corrupt contract

A court in Belgium has annulled five contracts between the Central Bank of Suriname (CBvS) and Clairfield Belgium on corruption grounds.

The central bank said the Brussels Company Court had awarded it €2.55 million ($2.54 million), plus interest and court costs. This was immediately payable even if Clairfield should appeal.
