Angolan governor leaves role to join cabinet

The National Bank of Angola

Angola’s central bank governor José de Lima Massano left the role to become the cabinet minister responsible for the economy on June 8.

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) said the most senior deputy governor, Manuel António Tiago Dias, has become acting governor. Dias has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Bordeaux in France, and has worked in the BNA’s statistics department.
