Most AE central banks split internal and external communications

Central banks in advanced economies (AEs) tend to assign separate teams to handle internal and external communications, data from the Communications Benchmarks 2023 shows.

Sixty-three per cent of AE respondents said they have separate teams for dealing with internal and external communications. In contrast, just a third (33.3%) of central banks in emerging market economies allocate the tasks to different teams.
