Amir Yaron is likely to remain as the Bank of Israel’s governor after prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered him a second term today (November 20).
In a statement posted on social media, Netanyahu and finance minister Bezalel Smotrich said they “agreed to extend the tenure of Bank of Israel governor Prof Amir Yaron for another term”. The decision will be submitted to the cabinet for approval.
