Philippines: Lyn Javier was sworn in on August 11 as deputy governor with responsibility for financial supervision at the Central Bank of the Philippines (BSP). Javier succeeds Chuchi Fonacier, who retired on August 1. She joined the BSP as a bank officer in 1998, and rose to the position of assistant governor in the financial supervision sector.
