The European Central Bank revealed some of the use cases that could be enabled by its digital currency.
In a report published on September 26, the ECB showed off the results of its “innovation platform”, in which around 70 private sector actors had experimented with the digital euro in a ‘sandbox’ testing environment.
The actors were divided into two groups: “pioneers” investigated how conditional payments could work from a technical standpoint, while 18 “visionaries” looked to “help address
