Raphael Bostic announced on November 12 that he would be retiring as president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta when his current term comes to an end on February 28, 2026. Bostic, the first African-American and openly gay head of a regional branch of the Fed, was appointed in June 2017 during Donald Trump’s first term as US president.
