Anna Breman
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand said on September 24 that Anna Breman would begin a five-year term as governor on December 1. The former Sveriges Riksbank deputy governor replaces Christian Hawkesby, who carried out the role in a caretaker capacity following Adrian Orr’s resignation in March. Breman will become the RBNZ’s first female governor.
