Alexander Demarco

Alexander Demarco has been appointed as governor of the Central Bank of Malta for a five-year period from January 1. He had served as deputy governor since 2014, initially with responsibility for financial stability and latterly with responsibility for monetary policy. He also held the role of governor on an acting basis between August 2024 and July 2025.
 

The Central Bank of the Bahamas on January 1 reappointed John Rolle as governor for a two-year term. He previously served two five-year terms
