Riksbank’s Seim: helping foreign central banks has ‘major’ impact

Building up the capabilities of foreign central banks can help the long-term development of their economies, the Sveriges Riksbank’s deputy governor has said.

In a speech at the Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (Sida) in Stockholm on February 11, Anna Seim said the Riksbank’s independence and transparency allowed it to set an example for other monetary authorities, even if the circumstances in their regions were different from those in Sweden.
