Kyrgyzstan announced on October 24 that it was moving forward with its digital asset strategy in collaboration with Binance, a day after US president Donald Trump pardoned the crypto exchange’s founder for violating US money laundering laws.
Kyrgyzstan’s president, Sadyr Japarov, said on October 24 that the country planned to issue a central bank digital currency and a state-backed stablecoin, KGST, and to set up a state cryptocurrency reserve.
