Geopolitical risks have been heightened for some time and became even more so in April this year when the US imposed hefty tariffs on its trading partners. What is the economic and financial impact of the imposition of tariffs for economies in the Americas?

The bottom line is that Latin American economies have done remarkably well throughout this period. There was a major downward revision in expected growth in April when the tariff measures were announced. There was a lot of uncertainty
