People: Williams to continue leading BIS markets committee

The Bank for International Settlements has confirmed that John Williams, president and chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, has been appointed to a second three-year term as chair of its markets committee.

Gediminas Šimkus has been appointed to a second seven-year term as chair of the board at Bank of Lithuania. He will remain, ex officio, a member of the European Central Bank’s governing council.
